Even seasoned Isopod breeders are sure to come across these at some point or another - they are almost inevitable.
Suppose you choose NOT to be proactive in your Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols; the perfect temperature and humidity levels for Isopods are also the ideal breeding ground for the "Nuisance" pests.

These bio-diversity packs are ideally applied when a new Isopod vivarium or terrarium of MicroForest Complete bioactive living soil substrate is built.
Building beneficial Bio-Diversity will jump-start your IPM program by attacking known soil-borne pests (fungus gnats, thrips, and root aphids). Rest assured - they will not attack your isopods or their mancae.
The secret for building these systems allows us the flexibility on a microcosm scale to begin to allow nutrients to become more readily available to your Soil Food Web ecosystem.

For severe fungus gnat issues, we highly recommend ordering two bioactive containers and finding a carnivorous plant known as the Tropical Pitcher Plant! (Nepenthes)

Beneficial Benefits Described In Detail
The (Dalotia coriaria) Rove Beetle and Hypoapsis mile are a tag team on thrips, fungus gnats, root aphids, and even some pest soil mites.
While the rove beetle is 1-3mm in size, visible and black, the Hypoapsis miles are less than 1mm in size and color from white to brown.
The rove beetle can take a little longer to establish and make a dent in your fungus gnat issues, but the Hypoapsis mile immediately starts eating fungus gnat larvae, which is why they are great when applied together!

They act much like composting in the soil food web in their ability to decompose organic material and provide quicker nutrients to your plants.
In addition to Oribatida, these packs come with Oligochaeta annelida (beneficial pot worms), which are in the same Order and Phylum of composting worm (red wiggler or earthworm), are white, small worms from 5-10mm long.
These worms act like composting worms, creating air channels for plant roots and expediting decomposition.
